Once again a fellow CSSUG member is stepping up to host a presentation. We are very pleased to welcome Ben DeBow as he shares his wealth of experience dealing with large SQL Server environments.

Getting The Most From Your SQL Server Deployments by Ben DeBow, MDCBA, MCSE and MCTS.

Are you having performance or other problems you just can’t chase down? Have you over-estimated capacity? You don’t need to buy expensive monitoring tools to get the right information to tell you what’s wrong, or more importantly, what you need to know to make things better. In this session, you will learn how to use what all DBAs have at their fingertips to gather, analyze, and make decisions to have happier and healthier SQL Server instances and databases.

Ben DeBow is a MDCBA, MCSE and MCTS focused on SQL Server consolidations, data architecture and performance tuning for organizations both large and small. Ben specializes in solving diverse and complex data and infrastructure challenges for large, global environments. Ben is a longtime member of the SQL community, volunteering the last 7 years as a SQLPass committee member, trainer and SQLPass presenter. Ben has led webcasts for SQLMag and has co-authored and reviewed several Microsoft whitepapers such as Consolidation Using SQL Server 2008. Besides his work as a consultant, Ben is a cyclist, avid traveler and photographer. You can follow Ben on Twitter here http://twitter.com/#!/BBQSQL and learn more about his consulting company here: www.SQLHA.com .
